DEPOSITS: NON-REFUNDABLE : Deposit payable within 48 hours of your booking. Deposit amount depend on event. You need to add 5% to all totals when you deposit cash. Only once the deposit is paid, your booking is secured. Always send proof of payment with details through to our office - info@starthikingtoday.com - No Deposit - No Booking.

THE BALANCE: The balance is due and payable at 30 days prior to the commencement of the event.

An extra penalty levy will be charged on late payments. NB: Should your group cut back their numbers, you will be held liable for the total number of the initial booking and billed accordingly.

NB! LATE BOOKINGS: Bookings made less than 21 days prior to your arrival, will only be secure once full payment has been received.

CANCELLATIONS: Should you cancel :

45 days and more outside of our event. 10% admin fee on all refunds. Balance refunded or your booking can be postponed to another available event at the discretion of Start Hiking Today Pty Ltd. Postponements or substitutes carry a 10% admin fee. Postponements no later than 6 months.

30 days and more outside of our event. 50% of monies will be refunded. Your booking can be postponed to another available event at the discretion of Start Hiking Today Pty Ltd. No later than 6 months. Postponements or substitutes carry a 10% admin fee.

30 days and less outside of the event. No Refunds. No Postponement. Substitutes carry a 10% admin fee.

RATES: Rates are subject to change without prior notice.

All our events are weather permitting. We may need to cancel hiking in the event of bad weather. We do try and plan for this as much as we possibly can.

Finding a replacement, substitute, or selling your spot requires extra hours of administrative work. To sell your spot we need design and write content again to post on Facebook, send an emailer out, post to our WhatsApp Groups etc. Which all takes time. Which means we have to employ and pay administrative staff.

Once a replacement is found it's the admin to transfer the information to the next person to update bookings, change permits and send updates to the new client. We work very hard to try and find a replacement or substitute so you don't lose out.

We aim to make the process as smooth as possible so you don't have to.

A deposit secures your booking. Balance paid 6 months before the start of your whale trail hike in monthly payments. If you fail to adhere to the monthly payment schedule you could forfeit your booking with a 100% cancellation fee.

We give clients the option of payment terms in good faith. We trust that we would get prompt monthly payments.

Guided Bookings require an R2000 pp deposit. Balance due no later than 6 months before the event.

Bookings within 6 months of the start date we require full payment.

Indemnity: By booking with Start Hiking Today Pty Ltd you accept you indemnify Start Hiking Today and the HIKE LEADERS and VENUE OWNERS against any claim which you or your family or our VENUE OWNERS may have in respect of any loss, damage or personal injury, death, medical or hospital expenses, or any other liability of any nature whatsoever which may be caused by or arise out of the activities of the Club, irrespective of whether such accident, damage, expenses or other losses or injury is caused by negligence or any act or omission on the part of members of the Club. You further agree to abide by the Constitution as well as the Rules and Regulations of the Start Hiking Today Pty Ltd.
